Prashar Lake Trek

About a mile later, the shady trail gave way to an open landscape filled with rocks of all shapes and sizes. Be careful across the rocks, because you don’t want to slip and sprain your ankle! After walking carefully, you will arrive at an elementary school, which is the last place to fill water bottles and use the bathroom before arriving at the camp.

Hint : The bathroom is part of the school property and is usually locked. If you want to use it, you must enter the campus and ask the guards to open it for you

Here, the relaxing part is over, when you enter the dense azaleas, the hard and more rewarding part of the hike begins in the forest . From here, about 4 kilometers, this is a steep hike on a winding path. A winding road is so Beautiful and Peaceful, under the thick canopy, playing hide and seek in the sun, and the birds singing and singing. This is an experience worth seeing.

Rest for a while, after eating, it’s time to get back on your feet. From here the rest of the hike gradually increases. With new energy and knowledge of destiny, you will want to run towards it!

After about an hour and a half from the lunch spot, you will arrive at the camp, where you can live in a tent or a wooden house with a mattress. The camp is called Krishna camp and it is run by the same person who runs the cafe in Bahj. They will provide you with sleeping bags and light a fire at night so you can meet and interact with other hikers. The campground is beautiful, giving you the opportunity to explore the adjacent snow-white hills, play in the snow, and capture the beautiful sunset.

After breakfast, head to the top of Prashar Lake Trek. It takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour to walk from the camp to the lake. The entire trail will be covered in snow and you will witness the most spectacular landscape that surrounds you. Everything is white, from the ground to the sky, the clouds look like a work of art. The scenery is amazing!

Tips: Do not forget to wear sunglasses, the light reflected by the snow will dazzle your eyes!

On the way to Lake Prashar

When you arrive at Prashar Lake, everything you read and the photos you see before you leave are vivid! There is the beautiful and most beautiful oval lake with a perfectly round floating island covered in snow. You can also visit the Parasal Temple and sit by the lake to soak up the tranquility. One of the best things to do this hike in winter is not only the snow, but also the low number of people who come to visit it, causing roadblocks on trails and mountain tops. There is a small hill by the lake, you can go up to get a bird’s eye view of the lake and its surroundings and enjoy some of the most beautiful photos. Then slide down the slope

There are 23 little cafes on the top of the mountain, and you can quickly enjoy your lunch before starting the descent. After lunch, you start descending from another path instead of your original path. The total time of the descent is approximately 3 hours. Going down snowy trails can be tricky and fun, especially when the snow is soft. It’s a nice sight to see everyone jogging, laughing, and giggling in the snow, but it’s also important to be careful. At the end this trail joins the same Kucha trail that we used to climb at the beginning, and after a few minutes, you will find yourself landing at the same Krishna cafe, who seems to have had breakfast with you a long time ago.
